One of the easiest modifications to accomplish and get some nice gains is to install a nice tuner, exhaust and throttle controller. The cost for a tuner will vary depending on your budget and needs. I choose to go with the TrailDash 2. For the exhaust, this is of preference, considering noise and performance. I went with the Pypes cat back, it is loud but with my deleted pipe in (loop remover) and AFE Y-Pipe, all 3″ the sound and horsepower is definitely noticeable.
Superchips Traildash 2...
After researching all of the tuners out there, I decided to go with the Superchips TrailDash 2. Now be aware you will have to remove your PCU and have it shipped to Superchips to have it unlocked. I choose to purchase one already unlocked from Superchips and kept my stock one intact and stored it away. But you can do which ever works best for you but make sure to add in that time frame of waiting for the PCU to be unlocked and shipped back. This install is not hard are all, to remove the PCU it was pretty basic, three bolts and that’s pretty much it. You will then need to simply unlock the connectors and pull them off the PCU.
